Bumetanide is a diuretic. It treats edema, congestive heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disorder.
Follow prescription label and doctor’s advice carefully. Bumetanide can be injected into a muscle or infused into vein.
Do not use bumetanide if you: can’t urinate, have severe kidney/liver disease, have severe dehydration, have electrolyte imbalance. It is easy to become dehydrated on bumetanide, which can lead to hypotension.
Some common side effects are: muscle cramps, hypotension, nausea, dizziness, headache. Get immediate emergency assistance and inform doctor if you experience serious effects such as: hearing issues, confusion, memory issues, hallucinations, trouble speaking/understanding speech, seizure, twitching, weak/shallow breathing, easy bruising, symptoms of low magnesium or potassium, dehydration. Other common side effects include: muscle cramps, dizziness, hypotension, nausea, headache.
