Ciclopirox is an antifungal medication used to treat infections such as athlete’s foot, ringworm, yeast infections, and jock itch. It may also be used to treat seborrheic dermatitis as a shampoo. The nail lacquer is used to treat fungal infections in the toe and fingernails.
Apply lacquer on nails and skin immediately surrounding nails. Avoid other contact. Best applied at bedtime. Allow lacquer to dry for 30 seconds. Remove lacquer weekly with alcohol. Follow all your doctor’s instructions and any instructions that come with the drug.
Not intended for use on child (unless directed by doctor). Inform doctor if you also have diabetes, epilepsy, compromised immune system, steroid medication use, and other medical conditions and medications.
Do not apply cosmetic nail products on top of lacquer.
Get emergency medical assistance if you suspect an allergic reaction. Stop use and inform doctor if you experience a more serious side effect, such as: unusual/severe itching, discoloration, burning, dryness, redness.
Lacquer may interact with inhaled or topical steroids or seizure medication.
